Enchanted Sweets is an all-natural baked goods company free from common allergens such as wheat, gluten, dairy and soy. We have just given birth to our first baby and it couldn’t smell sweeter.

Believe me it took sometime to perfect the mixtures and play around with the sweeteners and spices! But our bellies were filled with lots of love and hope for what was being born.

Every new thing needs a fairy godparent, so Ganache Cafe in Hoboken was the chosen one. Being the Supervisor, I am constantly watching customers walk away with sad faces because we do not have allergy free goodies, telling them “chin, up they’re coming” only made me stay in the kitchen longer to make these beauties.

Are you as excited as I am? Wait! There’s more!

So… the theory behind Enchanted Sweets, is to develop what your imagination creates. So the mixture of these flavors could possibly be found somewhere is, but not likely. ๐Ÿ™‚ To spark a little something extra, we developed “Mythical Adventures”… dessert replicas of favorite foods… the first one to complete?! Hamburger and Fries.

That’s right, I said it! Mini hamburger sliders and steak fries… don’t believe me?! See the wizard’s secret potion below:

Whew! I’ve think I’ve sent you into a state of shock or even tickled your sweet tooth! My apologies! But just for kicks, here is the final display at Ganache.

Good Morning #Monday

*Sigh* Dear Weekend,

I thought we were having so much fun together, but then your sunny days started to fade away and the twinkling stars caught my eye. I know good things have to come to an end, but one more day would have been great!

๐Ÿ™‚ Don’t you wish you could write the weekend a nice letter and disclose how you really feel? Well, I decided to silently release my thoughts as I tried to keep up a smile on my face as Monday knocked at the door.

I decided to make a delicious and healthy breakfast, one that will make my internal sunshine last.

Ingredients:

Pancakes
1 1/2 c. of Bob Red Mill’s Pancake Mix
1 cage free brown egg
1 tbsp of oil
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/3 cup of slivered almonds
1/4 cup of milk

Sides
3 cage free brown eggs
1 tbsp of milk
Pinch of onion powder (optional)
1 half of yams (cubed)

My secret weapon to make this dish and clean up fast…my trusty griddle. I can cook everything at once and only have one pan to wash. After 15 quick minutes, everything was hot, ready and waiting to be plated.

I hope this brings some sunshine to your day too!! Both my taste buds and stomach have a bright and shining smile! ๐Ÿ™‚

#NationalHotBreakfastMonth Steel and Fresh

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

Hope that you started your journey over the hump with a nice hot breakfast! Did you know February was “National Hot Breakfast Month”? Shockingly, February holds a lot of great mini holidays for foodies. Let me share a few, it is: Bake for Family Fun Month, National Chocolate Lovers Month. There are even certain foods that are highlighted as well: Avocado and Banana Month, Beans Month and Sweet Potato Month. I’ll be sure to share a few recipes in celebration of these delicious fruits and veggies.

Today, we are celebrating “National Hot Breakfast Month”, as I attempted to make my first batch of steel-cut oats. Although the box has instructions, I had to do a little google search and check out a few foodie sites that share tricks on how to cook steel-cut oats. The Kitchn had a great breakdown of all the necessary steps, which I found quite easy to follow.

I took their advice and prepared the oats last night. I must say the texture was so easy to work with this morning! I cut up a few fresh strawberries, packed up half and sent LaurenAsh off to work. I then warmed up the remaining, sliced up a few strawberries, then drizzled with honey (no sugar needed). ๐Ÿ™‚
