So I talked LaurenAsh into joining the “Green Monster Movement” of course she had no idea what it was or why we were doing. I calming explained to her that we would be trading in our daily cup of Joe for a daily cup of Popeye.
Sure these two men can be our daily source of energy, but one can make our lives so much more healthier.
I immediately started looking up recipes and concoctions. What were good combos with fruit, what herbs added something extra, which milk made it creamier? These were all questions that had to be addressed.
I prepared a list and made sure I dropped the items in the shopping cart during our weekly trip to the grocery store…one of our favorite pastimes. “Please don’t put spinach in my smoothie” was the first thing out of LaurenAsh’s mouth.
Little did she know her taste buds was in for quite an experience.
I’m calling this one “The Hulk”
1 ripe banana
1 cup of Fresh Spinach leaves
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1 cup of almond milk (Silk preferred)
Blender (we have a Bella and its amazing)
Add in 1/2 tsp of honey and 4 ice cubes to finish this masterpiece. Enjoy!
